Exercise 1:
Architectural Portrait: When No One Is Looking:

I missed the first week of class so i had to try to understand the assignment as best as i could, i missed the part of the excercise about the exact size so i just geussed. I took another drawing of inside of shadbolt and decided to rip in and glue it onto my watercolour paper to contrast colour to monochromatic, two different views of the same place but different moods.
Excercise 2:

This was an intresting excercise that i worked on during class as i felt it was the most appropriate place to capture movment espicially quickly which was the challenging part as i struggle when drawing quickly
Excercise 3:
Part 1 Hands

The hands warmwup was both challenging and rewarding at the same time as i struggled with drawing hands specifically the fingers and thumb, i felt it got better with each i drew and was quite happy with my left hand drawn my right. I challenged my self too much by trying to draw my right hand while looking at it becuase it kept moving while i drew so some things got a little warped. Also i forgot about linking the two hands in some way.
Part 2 Tactile self portait:

I did not like this excercise that much as it felt like being in a senory deprevation chamber, i also could not keep my eyes closed. I ended up looking at my drawing too much which was not the point of the excercise sadly.
Excercise 3:

I would have spent more time on my wire figure if i still had leftover wire but since I used up all my wire for my project in my 3d class i couldn’t. I enjoy working will wet media such as ink, gouache and watercolour so i had a lot of fun with this assignment, the paper that was given out was really high quality cold press paper which absorbs the media very well. I felt i did better on capturing the form than i did when doing model studies in class which is probably due to anxiety while drawing near others i suppose.
In Class Excercise:

I kept veering off the course of what we were supposed to do for this excercise, however it was cool to overlap two different figures on top of each other which produced an intresting effect when i used a blue pecnil crayon over the magic pencil.
Model Studies:
Part 1:

Coming back to model studies is always stressfull to me, theres times when i can get the form down correct and other times i just mess up while under preasure which is somthing i have to get over.
Part 2:

I felt i am better with getting the form correct when i use wet media as i did not have to rely only on making the form with line, instead i could work more on mass and volume which really helped me get better at model studies just a little bit.
Part 3:

Like last model study i fell my best work was when i focused on getting the mass and volume with the wet on wet wich produced a cool shadow effect that bled outwards from where i put the ink, perhaps i should focus on working with wet on wet when doing model studies. I never like using chalk pastel as they are just irritating to work with and don’t have the same ease of use that charcoal does.
